What an amazing thriller.The Last Of The Wise Lovers was just AMAZING. Amnon Jacknot wrote a great book with a solid and surprising plot.The plot is astonishing, until the very end I was surprised. Usually toward the end I find myself knowing who is the "who" and the only thing left to do is to "enjoy" the last pages, but in this book it was so much more than that.The pace of the book is also fantastic! It starts slow and builds, and builds until you're chewing your nails and keep reading. WOW!

A young man is betrayed by his uncle, who cuckolded his Dad by having an affair with his mom, attempted to put him in asylum,... on & on - of course the YA looks to his uncle in the end for approval, love and moral guidance in the way of faithful friendship. ugh!

Couldn't wait to turn the pages. Sustained psychological suspense until the end. The story being told from the viewpoint of a bystander, of sorts, who accidentally becomes enmeshed in events, adds to the mystery and intrigue. Well drawn character's, anyone of whom might be the mysterious unknown puppet master.

VERY GOODIt was very good, keeps you guessing and thinking ahead. I was expecting a different ENDING but it was as good as I thinking.

The world is turned upside down for a 17 year old Israeli boy living in New York City when a series of inexplicable events happen. Who should he trust? Who is telling the truth?I found this book to be very confusing although I had a strong feeling about who the "bad" guy was longbefore the book ended. No sexNo violence



I could not get into this book. It dragged on for the whole story and was so predictable.
