This one was just ok to me. There was just way too much going on...And it didn't help that this was book 2 of a series (I didn't realize that until about halfway through), so I felt a little left out of the bigger picture.

It was a breath of fresh air in the fact the the main gal (Erin) didn't believe in any of the Vamp/Witch stuff, and it took some hard core convincing to make her truly believe it. A lot of the time characters just "accept" it to easily..."I'm a vampire"..."No you're not, Vampires aren't real"..."Yes they are, you're looking at one"..."Really? Oh ok"...

Another great installment ... hot, sexy, and fun! Highly recomennend this entire series.The mageverse series is absolutely everything you want in a paranormal romance series. Almost every creature you can imagine, fantastic heroines and extremely sexy heros getting their HEAs in creative and fun ways. Knight never drags out a couples coming together in infuriating unrealistic ways, just gives them heart pounding action to overcome. I highly recommend this entire series, one of my favorites!

3.75. the story itself was good, but the interpretation of a vampire was a little too unique. it left the ability to create an entirely new type of cast for future books, but it caused a back up in the reading flow with information.

eh, pretty average paranormal romance. Not the most scintillating, but not horrible.

I picked this up because I was intrigued by reading some short stories set in this universe over the last couple years. I still like the premise but think this book lacks focus, veering from light humor to raunchiness to magical war. It sparked silly associations in my mind at times, with terms like Mageverse Fever (I think it's goin' around ) and Truebond (better than super glue?) sprinkled throughout. Some of the dialog also sounded clunky to my ear. I think I'll try one more book in the

i downloaded this book because i was in search of another audio book to keep me occupied while i was eagerly awaiting another. it wasn't terrible, nor was it the first for me by Angela Knight. the story line was ok. has vamps and some characters like King Arthur and Merlin was mentioned as well. it was kind of a time travel novel in the since that some characters from medieval days were around. Knight did an ok job with the world building. i had to re-listen a couple times to understand the

There is a parallel world attached to our earth called the Mageverse. Centuries ago, an alien race came to earth in a missionary-type mission: they help young races to not kill themselves off by "gifting" people with their alien powers. this book was pretty awesome...the storyline was quick and sucked you right in... the world was amazing, and it just drew you in. And the action and the sex scenes were masterful. I love how this author's world mixes avalon into it's own demension and mixes it with earth as we know it now. Now to move onto the rest of the series.
