I like this series; probably a 3.5 star verdict. It had been awhile since visiting with this series and then I had the opportunity to pick up the last couple missing volumes. This story focuses on a drug cartel, abducted young women/girls, and Anna's (our blood-sucking heroine) disastrous love life. If that sounds like an odd plot combination to you, it felt that way to me too as I struggled through the beginning. Maybe struggled is a bit harsh, as it did smooth out once the direction was made
