The FINAL shocking, heart-wrenching book in the jaw-droppingly stupendous Skulduggery Pleasant series

Valkyrie. Darquesse. Stephanie. The world ain’t big enough for the three of them. The end will come…

The War of the Sanctuaries has been won, but it was not without its casualties. Following the loss of Valkyrie Cain, Skulduggery Pleasant must use any and all means to track down and stop Darquesse before she turns the world into a charred, lifeless cinder.

And so he draws together a team of soldiers, monster hunters, killers, criminals… and Valkyrie’s own murderous reflection.

The war may be over, but the final battle is about to begin. And not everyone gets out of here alive…

Write Up Based On Books The Dying of the Light (Skulduggery Pleasant #9)
So I found Armageddon Outta Here in a bookshop and immediately pulled it out and flipped to the back to get that promised chapter from The Dying of the Light. It's the second chapter. And it was nice... In fact I was surprised by how normal it was. Same old same old Skulduggery Pleasant. Except for that one major difference that just kept nagging on me the whole time and made me feel sick somewhere in my stomach. God, I don't want to follow this character. I can't stand this character. Derek

(27/9)So I just finished the book. And I'm feeling kind of emotional. In a good or bad way? I'm not sure, actually.Attempt at a review up tomorrow (really just an essay made out of feelings)(25/9)YES! I have it! Let the angst and tears begin._______________________This series only brings me pain.

I can't believe it's over. The series is over. I'm heartbroken. This book was so so brilliant. Definitely the perfect ending to the series, though I would rather the series NEVER ended, of course. Words can't even describe how attached to Skulduggery and Valkyrie I am, among other characters too. Those two in particular mean the absolute world to me. Valkyrie Cain is my favourite female fictional character from any book ever. And Skulduggery is just so brilliant. I never thought I would fall so

You know what sucks? Being ill and reading/finishing/reviewing what was one of your most anticipated books and struggling to find the right words to put into a coherent, readable slush of paragraphs. If I only had to deal with being ill, that would fine, if I only had to deal with the fact that this series is no more, I would have been a tad distraught, but dealing with the fact that this book wasn't the perfect ending I would have wished for, that's worse than all those feelings put together. I

I think my heart has been ripped outEDIT (01.01.15):THE PAPERBACK COVER IS OUT!!!!!!!!ASDFGHJK!! Also: Guess who got the Black edition for 200€? ______________________EDIT (20.08.14): _____________________________EDIT (04.07.14):"The cover for The Dying of the Light has already been revealed (to much gasping and weeping and general emotional trauma), but Waterstones will also be stocking a special, signed, limited edition of 5,000 copies with an alternate almost photo-negative cover.Behold

"Until the end." *sobs silently* This "final" book always gets me. I am deeply in love with this world, the characters and the writing they're presented in. Apart from "I am freaking glad that there are more books!" I don't have anything to add.
