I haven't found any book as rewarding, informing and engaging as Iran Awakening. Standing in the tube on way to work those chilly winter mornings, reading it has made me silently smile, left my eyes wet, and sent shivers down my spine at other times. This book was so eye-opening and I absolutely loved it. Ebadi is an articulate but outspoken critic of the US's interventions in Iran, and this book provides so much context for understanding how the Iranian people have desperately sought their own liberation.
