Well...it was not exceptionally written in as much as the words and sentences were very simpleton and there was no figurative language or devices or even phrases, catches, not even a sentence that stood out. Was it written for a younger age audience? I think it was in the teen section, but the combination of fantasy characters, shallow depth level involved (as far as romance or emotion - other than action), and pedestrian choreography of the sentences made it seem more directed toward lower age
