Relation During Books Deacon (Unfinished Hero #4)
Deacon has an ugly history, a history that broke him, leaving him a ghost of a man. Out of necessity, he left the normal world to descend into the criminal world and found he fit. So he stayed. Cold as ice and living off the grid, Deacon has no intention to connect, not with anyone. Then he returns to some remote cabins in the Colorado Mountains and finds they have new owners. One of them is Cassidy Swallow, a young woman willing to work hard to live her quiet dream in a house by a river surrounded by aspen and pine.
Suddenly, Deacon finds he’s at war. Cassidy’s pull for him to connect is strong. He fights it, but he loses, always coming back for more. But when he does, he gives her nothing.
From the first time she sees him, Cassidy knows Deacon is dead inside. She knows he’s the kind of man who could destroy a woman. But one night when Deacon’s control slips, Cassidy takes a chance.
He might break her. He also might be her dream come true.

4.5 KA has once again delivered a kickass story. I adored Deacon and Cassie. This story focuses on their relationship, unlike most KA books, there are no bad guys waiting in the wings - just two people and a beautiful love story. I loved it. Heart and soul, gut and balls, I love you. Theres no one Id rather hold. Not until Im eighty. Not until the day I die.....Do you love me too, my Cassie?...Heart and soul, belly and womb, I love you too, Deacon. And, this book is steamy. Seriously KA outI'm glad I followed the impulse...It's like that feeling you get when you stand in front of your full wardrobe and complain of nothing to wear. I have heaps of books to read, an Audible membership that gives me discounts, even a credit to satisfy an impulse. So, what do I pick? A good old KA of course. It's been yonky donks since I read or listened to Deacon. To be honest, I think this was my first listen, but I can't say that for certain because I have a shocking memory. I'm so glad I gave into

"It's a beautiful war, baby." He dipped so close, the tips of our noses brushed but his eyes never left mine. "And I...just won." [image error] Deacon and Cassidys story was a slow burn tale of a mysterious hot guy named John Priest renting the now infamous cabin number 11 sporadically for several years. One night their dynamics changes and the couple is left with the question of where do they go from here? After last night, we changed, he responded immediately. And that change can go two
5 Bossy Stars! Kristen Ashelys Unfinished Heroes series is my favorite of hers. Not only do we have Knight- aka the Daddy- aka Christys book husband, but we have Creed and Raid which are pretty great as well. When I heard Deacon was getting a book, I was pretty freaking excited. I had very high expectations for this book, and I wasnt let down. Knight is still my favorite of the series, but this was a close second! Deacon is not only insanely hot, but we have a sexy alpha antihero, a kick ass
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Friends, Im a Kristen Ashley fan, but Im also first and foremost a woman who speaks her own mind. Therefore the following review isnt just me gushing over another KA book. If I were to fangirl, Id simply tell you to read everything KA wrote, that I enjoyed all her books, (Okay, you got me here, I DID) and that theres no reason you wouldnt too!No, this review will be about sharing feelings being delivered to me straight to the heart, without any warning. I need to let it out!
3.25 to 3.5 Stars but I'm rounding upI truly liked but didn't love this one. I've been disappointed in the post-douchebag reactions my KA heroines have been exhibiting as of late and I'm happy to say Cassie kinda, sorta in her own way stood firm. I also loved the fact Deacon never blamed Cassidy for his actions because his baggage was all on him. I think my overall mehness with this one comes from the fact that every KA book is indeed heavily laced with KAisms. I'm making that a word, by the
