I was worried about reading this since it's been so long since I read the first book, but everything was recapped very nicely. White is for Magic is a great sequel and carries on the story easily. The characters are crazy and amazing, and it all felt really believable. While I'm not a fan of romance, I like how it was done in this book. It didn't feel rushed at all like most young adult novels these days. The plot was captivating and interesting. I'm excited to read the rest of the series. This one was ok, but got a little repetitive after a bit. I enjoy all the magic elements and spell work though.
I'm going to stop reading this. I've decided I don't really care about the characters or their ridiculous teen angst anymore. I don't really care for the writing style either. I'm pretty certain that Stacey's so-called 'BFF' is trying to steal her old boyfriend back from Stacey, that Stacey will end up with Jacob and that the ending will be as stupidly rushed as in the last book. It's like getting to the point of the end takes forever"drawing out the suspense"but the actual climax is so rushed,
Great book. Gives a lot of interesting details about spells and so separates itself from other teen books with an unusually gifted teenager. Loved the inclusion of Jacob. The book wraps you up in its mystery so that you're racing to get to the end, just like the first one. The killer's easier to pick out in this one than in the first book, though. The one thing I have a beef with is that being a Christian, I hate seeing God's name uncapitalized. If an author doesn't believe in God and doesn't
*Spoilers* Literally the exact same storyline as the first book, the climax even happens in the same location. I was really hoping this would be better then the first but the author just slapped some new characters in a reused the plot from the first. The whole dating the best-friends ex boyfriend thing was just as annoying as it was in the first book, seriously what friend does that!? And the mystery person who is tormenting stacey was stupid. Why the hell make the stalker someone random who's
This book was alright. Not quite as good as the first in my opinion, but okay enough. Im going to be completely honest here and say that going into this series, I had such high hopes for it, and while theres nothing actually wrong with the storyline, or the writing or anything like that.....it just seems to me like it falls short. I cant exactly put my finger on what it is that the book is lacking, and while I want to love it, I really do...... I just cant. There are some parts in the story
