But of course, nothing can stay simple for the Jacobsons. Enemies who were thought to be dissolved have decided to not go down so easily. And old flames come calling for more than just Maggie. Caleb is torn between leading his family and personal wants. Maggie is torn between Caleb and being the leader of their people. But neither will let what they need most to be pushed to the wayside. 2019 re-read: I still thought this book was cute. I didn't really think it picked up until toward the end. Most of it was just everyone kissing which got super annoying. I thought this was a great ending to Maggie and Caleb's story. I loved that the epilogue showed them 2 years from then and then again 5 years. (view spoiler)[ I was kind of mad when Beck came back into Maggie's life because she was a total bitch like 85% of the time. It was exciting to see Maggie's life align by having both JimSo I'm sure I will get backlash from Shelly Crane fans, but this is my honest review. I felt that this book was just chapter after chapter of Caleb and Maggie cooing over each other. It got annoying. I get it, they love each other. Must I be reminded every page? I've been reading the series, I won't forget they are in love. The whole Marcus scenario was boring and he barely seemed like a threat. The whole climax, if you could call it that, was anticlimactic and felt like they just had to flick
I was excited about the final book in the significance series. I loved the previous three, and have re-read them all a number of times. There is just something beautiful about the way the romance between Caleb and Maggie is written, it is so sweet and tender that it just makes me sigh. I was so eager to read about their happy ever after in Independence wanting to get lost in that great connection. It is actually hurts a bit to write this, but Independence left me disappointed.Let me start with
Wow. Just wow. What an incredible ending to an incredible series. I was always on the edge of my seat, never knowing what has going to happen next. I absolutely loved the wedding, Maggie and Caleb saving Beck and Ralph.... I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have two things I need to say. The first thing is that I love the way that this series seems like it actually happens. I don't distinguish this series by Book 1, 2, 3, or 4. It seems like someone's life, which was unusual for
A stunning series! I cannot wait to read this book, I have already read the other 3 countless times and I just ADORE Caleb! Don't rush this Shelly, take your time... I have heard rumours that you're going to write this book from Caleb AND Maggie's POV,please tell me this is true! Reverence was so sweet! When I discovered that it would be published at the end of the year I actually cried hysterically for ages (this is not a lie)! I am praying that it comes out in England the same time in the
I felt that this book gave off a different vibe then all the other books. It felt more adult than a teen romance novel. I think that instead of focusing on all the other people in the book you should have focused on solely Maggie and Caleb, looking back on their life together since they are the main characters in the book. It felt sort of weird that you didn't show one of the visions when Caleb and Maggie first met (the one when maggie is running and caleb is chasing her outside of the sold
