Just re-read this for Teenage Scream podcast (lovingly dissecting the best and worst of 90s teen horror):https://soundcloud.com/teenagescreamI've lost count of how many times I've read this book so far, and it's still a great read. I can't wait for the romance storyline to kick in though, even if it is a love triangle!8 out of 102020 -Dear me this is cheesy in places! (view spoiler)[ When Rob finally realises that Kaitlyn is a girl and suddenly the heavens aline, and time slows, and everything is perfect. Ha ha! (hide spoiler)]
The Vampire Diaries will always be one of my favorite book series and because of that Lisa will always have a place in my heart but I think maybe it's very different to read L.J Smith when you have fifteen than To read her when you have twenty four or maybe this one wasn't of her best because I found it very lacking. The plot was very promising but I found the execution being very poor. Kait pissed the fuck out of me most of the time because she was so dumb and naive and please don't even get me
I'm writing one review for the whole trilogy.I first read this several years ago (the original printing) in Junior High. It is my favorite L.J. Smith series. I love Kate, and how Smith writes her as such a relatable and believable person. She is a strong and independent girl (unlike Jenny in The Forbidden Game trilogy) who is desperate to connect with other people and learn to control her ability. Her reactions to things are genuine. When she sees a girl leaving Gabriel's room, instead of being
2015 Reading Challenge- A book by a female author- A mystery or thriller- A book at the bottom of your to-read list- A trilogy (#1 of 3)- A book with a love triangle- A book set in high school - A book with magicI'm only re-reading this trilogy to finally finish it. I started this series way back in middle school but never got around to reading the last book. It took so long to find the third book that I needed to re-read the first two and just never did. This is very much YA reading. I have
Hum. Not entirely convinced I liked this book. This story is about a bunch of teenagers that have psychic powers and have always been bullied and isolated because of it. By miracle, a rich and old man takes interest in them and select them to be part of an experiment supposed to help them better understand their powers, he also generously offers them a scholarship to a really nice school and set funds aside for them to go to College. They have to move away from home and settle in California
