I am finally finished with this book! Phew! Only 5 years after I started reading it! It had been so long that I just reread everything I'd read before, because all I could remember was that the book really underwhelmed me, in comparison to the first two Virgin River books, which I loved. And well, it was still underwhelming, after all this time. I didn't dislike the "main" romance of the story, with Mike and Brie, although it joined the club of magical perfect romances in town. I feel like I have a lot of complaints about this series, and I don't mean to. I enjoy the books, but I do have a lot of minor quibbles. However, if I ever need a sweet, wholesome, family and community oriented romance, this is the series that I think of. To get a break from really angsty or annoying characters/storylines, I know I can read a Virgin River book. This is only my third read of the series but I have a feeling none of the books really break outside of this little box that I've stored

Oh man. This one got me in the feels. The third book in the Virgin River series focuses on Mike Valenzuela and Brie Sheridan. There was a minor flirtation between the two in the last book with Mike still thinking about Brie.
