Having just finished the complete novel I wanted to urge other lovers of historical fiction to read this book. The author has certainly done his research and the attention to detail is outstanding. This last volume has elements of a thriller, with plenty of suspense and some really gory parts. The ending is excellent; it kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing at what was about to happen. Packed with action, adventure, suspense and filled with a mixture of different characters from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I'm so glad I discovered these books and sincerely hope there will be a follow up.
