1.5 starsThis is like The Hunger Games without the character, plot, or world development, and with writing that smacks of senior high school English. I was so excited for this book to come out, because it's dystopia, and it's YA; it's dystopian YA! What not to like, right? A lot, as it turns out. My first clue was that the Kindle edition cost only $5; that is almost always a bad sign. dos Santos writes in the 1st person present, and the narrative is full of awkward, eye-roll-inducing metaphors.
