Evaluate Appertaining To Books The Champion (Roman trilogy #3)
I've really enjoyed reading the books in Carla's Roman series. The Champion was just as good as The Gladiator and The Protector and I think its hero was my favorite of the three. Carla's characters always have a tragic past that could break them but always make them stronger. It makes it easy to BE INSPIRED.

Tibi knows what she wants, and she's aware of her worth much to the disappointment of her father, who finally snaps and orders Tibi to the temple of Obis to be a priestess and out of his way. Tibi feels she's destined to marry for Love and not for the political gain of his father, not wanting to go to the temple she escapes to the friend of their family, a gladiator Alexius, a know womanizer.Alexius had sworn to his friend, cousin of Tibi, that he was to not take Tibi into his bed, she's off

I really enjoyed this one with a humorous but angry gladiator who speaks bluntly to his love. The scene in the Colosseum stables....oh my.

Sadly, this was the last of the series. All three of these stories: The Gladiator, The Protector, and The Champion were amazing reads. They all make it into books I would recommend for people who like clean romance and a good story with a little bit of action/fighting in it. I have written a review on my blog for all of them if you wish to stay on my blog a little bit longer. As you can tell from the description, this book was about the crowds favorite gladiator Alexius of Iolcos and Tiberia the

I really enjoyed this one! Each of the 3 gladiator stories was unique and inspiring. I especially like the fact that Tibi and Alexius found, in each other, the source of self worth they had been missing. And the fact that their faith healed their spirits. This will take its place among my favorites.

Until now, I assumed Love Inspired was synonymous with light romance (not that there's anything wrong with that) but thanks to Carla Capshaw I'll have to mentally re-shelve the line. Sparks started flying in chapter one of The Champion and the romantic tension continued to build making this summer read as refreshing as a glass of iced tea, and not nearly as sweet as I expected. Fans of the line needn't worry, your favorite Love Inspired authors haven't swapped places with Harlequin Blaze

Unlike so many historical novels set in the old west, this was a nice change. In the old Roman world of gladiators, senators, and the general mistreatment of everyone the upper classes deem less than, we discover the story of Alexius and Tibi.A little tough to get going, since I hadnt read the first two stories in what was obviously a series. But I let go the questions that arose over the mention of other couples and focused on what was going on between the two main characters, which kept me
